Tutoring hours: Monday - Thursday 3:00 - 6:30

Math Department Policies
  1. A student who demonstrates willingness and effort to learn the material will be given every opportunity to pass.
  2. Students should come prepared to pass the test the first time. Any student who scores less than 70% on a test should meet with his/her teacher within a week of getting the test back. Accommodations will be made individually and will be based on a student's efforts to succeed.
  3. A student who misses a test has one calendar week to make it up. If this is not possible, the student should make a plan with his/her teacher within one week. If the student has not made an effort to make a plan with the teacher, he/she will be given the test during the class period.
  4. The purpose of assignments is to assist the student in learning the material. The purpose of the exam is to allow a student to demonstrate what he/she has learned from completing the assignments. Therefore, any assignments submitted after the exam has been taken, will not be given credit.
  5. The mathematics department at Juab High School is committed to nurturing the mathematical development of its students. We know that often a student needs to devote more time to learning mathematics than is possible during class time. A student will always be welcome in the classroom after school. In addition, math tutoring by a math teacher is available from 3:00 to 6:30 P.M, Monday through Thursday. An activity bus will leave the school at 5:30 P.M. and take students to Mona and Rocky Ridge.
  6. A student's grade should reflect the student's knowledge of the mathematics. Therefore, extra credit will not be given.
